Our history

The firm's founder and CEO, Michael Dolan, has lived in Marbella since he was a teenager when his family moved here from the UK. Michael's late father was a well known local surveyor who was involved in many of the major developments along the coast and Michael carries on a proud family tradition as a real estate professional. Michael was initially involved in project management working on some highly regarded projects throughout Spain, thirteen years ago he moved on to the agency, opening the Hamptons operation in Marbella before moving on to Panorama where he was appointed Director of Residential Properties. In 2009, he founded Michael Dolan Estates and in 2011 opened the current La Carolina Park office under the Dolan Property brand.

I just wanted to say a huge thank you for everything you have done for me over the past year whilst my property in Marbella Real has been on the market for sale with your real estate agency. All your staff have been amazing throughout so please will you pass on my thanks to them also.

Owning a holiday home in Marbella, Spain, has been lovely but it can also be quite worrying when you live in another country and can’t speak the language. This becomes even more of a challenge when you are thinking about selling your property and wanting to achieve a good sales price.
Choosing you to be my estate agent has turned out to be one of the best decisions I made. You have always been there at the end of the phone, to help and advise me, and generally take care of all the problems which have occurred over the time the apartment was on the market. There were certainly some ups and downs, but we got there eventually. Even in the difficult times we found ourselves in with the coronavirus you still worked wonders!

My matters in Spain are now all but complete but when I am next over there on holiday, I will certainly pop in to say hello!

I would highly recommend Dolan Properties to handle the sale of one's home. All members of staff were extremely helpful in every aspect of the difficulties in selling our home in Spain. Deborah at Dolan's was outstanding - I told her exactly what I wanted and magically she found me what I'd been searching for the last 20 years in just 2 weeks. Then her handling of the negotiations, recommendations with lawyers, builders, project managers has made the whole process a dream. Not only that Deborah is an absolute delight and honest through and through. I'm more than happy to recommend Dolan's and I've dealt with estate agents all my life - they have surpassed all my expectations and dispelled the natural fears we all have when dealing with real estate agents especially in foreign territory.

They handled the initial advertising, viewing, and the final sale documentation and process very professionally, right up to the conclusion in the notary´s office.
